• Change Makers

Meet nine inspiring change makers from the charity sector and beyond...

  • Change Makers 2020 is an online series of portraits and interviews that celebrates the work of nine inspiring individuals in the charity sector and beyond. Because frankly, they're not celebrated enough!

We sat down with these Change Makers and asked them what they were proud of achieving in their work, how they created positive change, and what motivated them to do it.

We believe that their example and optimism is a beacon of hope, especially in these times of crisis. They are a reminder, in short, that change is always possible.

  • Duncan Green

    Senior Strategic Adviser, Oxfam

Alongside his work at Oxfam, Ducan lectures in development at LSE inspiring a whole new generation of change-makers, transforming the world for the better.

    Clare Gray

In his role as Co-Chair of the BAME network at CRUK, Curtis has helped open up hard-to-talk-about conversations about race in our organisation. He has championed change at all levels of the organisation, inspired others, and not been afraid to challenge the status quo.

    Faima Bakar

    Journalist, Metro Online

Faima centers her lifestyle reporting on attempting to uncover the narratives of minorities in the UK. Her work gives narrative to so many who have previously been made invisible.

    Latisha Gorden
